The Boys Brigade is a voluntary organisation, which means that the adults who help out do not get paid and we do not get any funds from any government or council departments. We have to raise our our funds through subscriptions and fund-raising events.
Any boys are able to visit free of charge for a couple of nights, to get settled and decide if they want to become regular members. For boys who come regularly, there is a yearly fee. The subscription fee pays for a number of things:
Subscription Fees
In 2016, the fees were set as follows:
Anchors - £45 per year (£15 per term) (approx £1 per week)
Juniors - £54 per year (£18 per term) (approx £1.33 per week)
Company/Seniors - £60 per year (£20 per term) (Approx £1.50 per week)
The fees can be paid in a lump sum at the beginning of the year or in instalments at the beginning of each term. We accept cash, cheques, electronic bank transfers or payment through the online system MyBB. Please speak to the Finance officer for more information.

Regular attending boys will be expected to wear a uniform. All boys wear regular black school shoes and trousers. The jumpers and shirts are different in each section. The current pricing, as of 29th July 2017, are shown below:

- Fees to the London Battalion
- buying equipment for badgework (craft materials, cooking ingredients, etc)
- paying for badges and awards which are issued at the end of the year
- Fees to enter district & battalion competitions and events
- Uniform purchase in advance. This allows you to receive uniform & pay for it in instalments
