The Boys' Brigade Motto, Emblem and Object.
The emblem of the Boys Brigade is an Anchor with a cross. The original emblem was just the anchor. In the 1920s, the Boys Brigade joined with the Boys Life Brigade (who had the emblem of a red cross) and the two emblems were amalgamated.
OUR MOTTO
The Boys' Brigade Motto is:
'Sure and Steadfast'.
The motto is taken from the Bible, the book of Hebrews, Chapter 6, Verse 19:
OUR OBJECT
The Object of the Boys' Brigade is:
The Advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience,
Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness.
